Seth was shocked into silence for a moment before he recovered himself enough to say, "That is the name your people tend to take for themselves. As opposed to 'elves' or 'faeries' in the common tongue."

He tilted his head some, "Were you not taught about where you came from?"

"Which is an eminently pragmatic approach," agreed the magician, quietly staring at her, "So what did you and Mister Tumnus and your friends call you? Just by a name?"

"I suppose I should say something about making things easier, but it sounds as if yours was not a life requiring those sorts of distinctions." He chuckled a bit, running a hand over the back of his head, "And 'Dareen' is a fine thing to be called." He smiled a little, "When next you have a guest with ears resembling yours, you may wish to ask them about your glamourie if you have an interest in it." He gestured to himself, "I call myself Shayff, by the way."

Seth chuckled a bit, "No, no rabbit, you, I fear. Pure Tuatha." He tilted his head a little then at the comparison the girl made, "'Her'? Who are you speaking about? Someone who was part rabbit?"

"Ah. Morgana," replied Seth with a slight shake of his head. There was a part of him that wished he'd brought wine or something but while it hardly seemed appropriate for the girl's age, it seemed a bit more so for the conversation.

"It's... a strange thing, some stranger asking you to be their child." Clearly they were very different people, no matter their experiences, though, "What do you think about it?"
