Seeing the change in her expression, Marcello ran his fingers across her cheek, then kissed her. "I know," he said softly. "Good. I suppose that's...one problem we have a plan for?"

"Aye, depending on your sister. Brr." She shivered all over and brushed her arms. "This whole idea makes me nervous." She tipped her cheek into his palm. "That is likely the simplest problem to solve. What shall we do about the others?"

"Hide in bed all day?" Marcello answered cheerily. He sighed. "I don't know. You need to talk to Dierdre. I think that's where we start."

"We've been hiding in bed and nothing seems closer to resolution." She finally pushed off the blankets and dangled one leg off the bed, foot resting on the floor so as to at least be pointed in the direction of getting dressed. "I'll go to her as soon as the Queens are gone. I am not sure if you should be anywhere near Duncan, though."

Marcello nodded. "That's fine," he replied. "I need to go talk to Cormac. And I can check in on Meg, too."

She slid off the edge of the bed and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Regroup and exchange notes before dinner?"

He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her in close for a moment before letting her go, reluctantly. "Yes, you can dress me in ridiculous clothing and we can exchange notes," he agreed. "The better you do, the longer you can make my dress."

Niabheara rolled her eyes grandiosely and shrugged him away. "Paugh. One of these days I will put you in a real dress instead of a tunic and see if you can e'en tell the difference."

"It's a trick," Marcello replied with a grin, as he fetched his trousers. "There is no difference."
