It was Barbara's turn to look edgy, but she nodded. "That would be kind of you? Only.. he, ah... He's currently in my room? But if you could send the guard to take the iron shackle off and your sister to clean the burn wounds, I'm sure he'd like that." She said, politely.

Then she turned and frowned at Marcello. "What I can't figure out is, if she knew your memory was gone, why she just didn't try to seduce you." She said frankly.

Marcello frowned. "Er..." Then he gave Barbara a hurt look. "I'm a little better than that, I hope," he replied. "Besides, I know I'm supposed to be marrying the Countess; I'm not going to go to bed with another woman in her room. Who is this Moira? She's a bard? Is she dangerous?"

"She's the house bard," Niabheara said. "Meaning, she knows everything about every member of the household. Including you. Including me."

"You were very close with her." Barbara added. "You like her. She's not usually dangerous, but now I would say to avoid her. Call for a guard if you see Maitiu, I suppose. He's skinny with red hair and grey eyes. And tattoos all up and down his arms." She told him, and then looked at Niabheara, frowning. "You'll send a guard and your sister for Maitiu, correct?"

"But...if I see MAitiu...that's Moira, correct?" Marcello asked. He frowned at Barbara. "And if I see you, does that mean...you're you, or you're her, or...you're him who is her? Should we have a password to determine whether it's you?"

"I say the password be slapping the bitch in irons," Niabheara said without humor. "I'm going to send someone up to get the iron off Maitiu."

"Then you'd be hurting Maitiu. I won't have that." Barbara snapped back. "Christ, Niabheara, she's just under a hobbing. It's not her fault." She added. "She didn't deserve to have iron on her in the first place either, but that didn't stop you from clamping it on her." Lang looked over at Marcello as if noticing him again. "How about bullshit? She already knows about Erskine."

"A word she won't know," Marcello answered. "Minchiate," he suggested, and then glanced back at Niabheara. "Bullshit in Italian," he explained.

Niabheara gave him a baffled look, then quietly said the word under her breath a few times to make certain that her tongue could get around that chi. She nodded. "That's fine. Barbara, I realize she is under a hobbing and she's not in control of herself but I am equally certain that if she did know what was happening, she wouldn't want to be allowed to add to the mayhem. What would you suggest?"

"I don't know, Niabheara. A cell is fine. I don't want her in shackles, scarring up Maitiu's body." Barbara explained, crossing her arms. "Ja, minichiate." She said to Marcello. "That's fine. Just... make sure he doesn't get hurt." She added, rather nervously. "I don't want him hurt."
