We may be different from the rest, 22 Dumann, late morning
Davide ended up sleeping in the Great Hall, which was a bit like the time he and his brothers decided to pretend to be knights and camped out in the wheat fields. It left him itchy and with a slight crick in his back, but he was hungier than ever. As he filled up on breakfast he spotted Seth and tried to casually sidle over. He failed, and ended up breaking out in a grin. "Good morning."

The woman smiled brightly as she spotted him moving closer, "Good morning," she replied, wishing the flush that came over her when she laid eyes on him would fade just a little quicker; there was magic for it, but... but that really fouled up a lot of the feeling.
And, GODS, what a feeling seeing him was.
"I. It is good to see you, Davide. I confess I was worried you might want to wait until later in the day." The magician smiled a bit softer, "Not that I am complaining in the slightest, of course."

"I thought you could show me the castle today?" He asked, and smiled slightly. "I figured I would find you once you were up. I met more people that knew me, but.." He frowned and bit his lip. "Wasn't good."

"Nothing would please me greater," replied the magician with a slight bow of her head. She popped a bit of bread in her mouth before offering the youth a pained, sympathetic expression, "Oh? What happened?"

Davide flushed, embarassed. "Nothing, really, and I'm much better now that I see you." He admitted, shyly. "I'm sorry again, if I hurt your feelings yesterday." He smiled again. "But today is a new day. I'd love to hear all the stories about this place."

"You didn't," she replied with a smile as she stood up, "Or if you did, it has been forgotten." Seth flashed the youth a smile and gestured for him to follow, "There is a lot of castle and I fear much of the recent history is beyond me... and I think I can make as entertaining a guide as any." Turning to the door for a moment and then back to Davide, "Is there anywhere you would like to start?"

Davide followed rather like a large, redheaded puppy. He shook his head at Seth. "Where's your favorite place? Let's go there first. I still get turned around, I'm afraid."

Seth laughed a little and nodded, "I fear my favourite will be rather inhospitible this time of year... and I imagine we can find some of the others, hm? Though I think we will have to save the kitchens for the end of the tour, hm?" Another laugh as she passed into the hallway.
"And do not feel too bad about getting turned around," she said, reaching out and running her fingers over one of the walls, "Beyond its size, the castle moves itself around sometimes. For fun or mischief." She looked sidelong at the youth then, "Have you upset the Countess? That, also, may contribute to it." Spoken by someone else, this might have sounded like a complaint but from Seth's mouth it sounded more like describing the quirks of a favourite pet or a dear friend.

"I haven't met the Countess, although knowing the older me, I'm sure she hates me." Davide replied. "There was this husband and wife. He had black hair. I don't know what she looks like, because she's a rat right now. They were friends of the Countess, but they said I was petulant and self centered." He told Seth. "I don't even know what petulant means." He looked around the halls. "Where's your very favorite then? Outside, or something?"

The woman's brow furrowed and she sighed, shaking her head, "I simply cannot fathom how so many people could have so low an opinion of him," she muttered before letting out a breath and turning to the youth, "I am sure it is as much out of ignorance and a lack of time around you as anything else." Grimacing, she added, "And when I was enchanted... gods, how I hated hearing about the other-me. They have a right to their experiences and... and it is all like being judged for something one's father or brother did." Turning to the youth, she smiled, "I think you are neither self-centered nor petulant. Gods know, you've shown no small amount of patience with me, hm?"
Seth laughed a little at that before nodding to the question, "Yes. There is a lovely garden here and. And I do not know how lovely it is with all the snow and..." a look crossed her face and she smiled, "Though I could show it to you, anyway. Keeping us warm would be simplicity itself."
