Cara snorted. "I think I would have noticed if you were luring small children back to my office. You're still crazy, though," she assured Jochy. Then she addressed Meg. "If he does this thing, to lift the wards," she said. "Am I going to have to watch for any warning signs that he might start doing these things again?"

"He would be the one to tell you, and now would be the time to ask," Morgana replied. She was entirely too calm about these things. "For my own part, I remember a very strong attraction for bloodlust mixed with a tendency toward self-destruction. Whatever was, was very violent."

"I would not ask for this if I didn't think things have changed. If I didn't think I have changed. I am serious. I don't want to hurt anybody." Jochy looked between the pair of them. "I was crazy then, not to mention the fact that there was more than one of me inside my head. It's just me now, I know who I am, I'm not suicidal, and I'm over being a vampire. Really. Back then... I wanted to die. Possibly after I've killed everything else first."

The shrug was almost embarrassed. "I ain't that self destructive anymore."

"But how do we know how much of that is you, and how much of that is because of the wards?" Cara asked. "I'm not asking you to dissuade you, Jochy, and you're replying to me as if that's what I'm doing. I'm asking because we're sharing very close quarters and I need to know how to respond if I see danger. It's not fair to treat me like I'm only disapproving. If I disapproved, I wouldn't be here."

Morgana nodded along with Cara. "That's most of what has me concerned. We laid the wards for that very reason--to keep whatever's there contained. You've no idea the number of people I've seen who relapse because they stop taking their medicine when they start to feel better. I fear this may be the same case."

"I..." Jochy hesitated, looking between the two women. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sound glib or anything. It's just that..." he tried to find the words, running fingers through his hair.

"If... shit goes wrong, I'll turn violent. Probably. That's what it's been before. Against others and against myself. You... ain't the type to take that Cara, so I'd probably dump you fast. Probably by sleeping around. I'm guessing the nightmares might turn worse again. They ain't been bad lately." He sighed and looked to the skies.

"I know it's a risk Morgana, I really do. That's why I haven't done it before. But I actually trust myself now. And I want to be able to trust myself without being hobbled."

"I'd like to be able to trust you when you're not hobbled, too," Cara told Jochy, putting a hand on his shoulder. She raised an eyebrow at him. "If you get violent with me," she warned. "You're going to get stabbed in the eye."

"If I think he'll get violent with you or anyone, he won't get far past my door, I assure you," she said to Cara. "We can test it first, before we do anything too permanent to shut off in a hurry."

"I'm alright with that." Jochy smiled a bit at Cara. "But I think that it ain't gonna happen. I'm all for trying it first though, I trust Morgana in this." he gave the shorter of the two women a long look.

"Seriously. I don't want to mess up how far I've come so far."

Cara smoothed Jochy's hair back, then took a step away. "What do we do now, then?" she asked the woman. "Do I need to leave? To stay? How does this work? May I observe?"
