"If you don't mind, I will take most things you say about her with a grain of salt." Renaud added just a hint of sharpness to his voice, that the admiral had better not push his luck. "But I believe that I might take the opportunity for a visit. This... so called cure of yours is still of interest to me."

The Admiral raised an eyebrow. "I don't know that I would part with it unless it were for the right person," he replied. "And as you are no longer ill..."

He shrugged, then gave the other man a little salute. "I will bid you good day. For now."

"For now" Renaud echoed, then turned and left.

He was still not at all sure what to do about this, he was just rather happy that he was not in a position that the lure of a cure was so strong it was overwhelming. He did not want to think about what the admiral might demand in return.
