Maalech and Morgan goes back to the Wreaths - 6 Simivisonna
The heat was different. It had gone from drier, to more moist, and despite the fact that both cities were seaside ones, the scent was remarkably different.
Perhaps it was simply the disorientation. Maalech was not overly fond of being transported somewhere when he had no feel for either of the worlds. It left him feeling helpless.
And his recent ordeal had left him weak.
At least that meant that it was Morgan that had to carry the books...

And the ones that he couldn't just make move on their own, Morgan hauled in behind Maalech, grimacing some, "Good fuck, man. What are these books made of? I'm damn near old!" He chuckled then and dropped a few more near a chair.
"Everything look okay?"

Re: Maalech and Morgan goes back to the Wreaths - 6 Simivisonna
"It seems I was not robbed. Which is not surprising since I do not dwell anywhere where someone might consider valuables to be stored." Maalech walked the room, seemingly pleased with the fact that it seemed untouched.
Inside he was seething. He could not tell. There was no way to be sure. His privacy was in fact no longer his privacy, and while he was adjusting to his helplessness, at times like this it burned.
"It is good to be back." Just let it go. He could not allow himself to be upset over something as trivial. Not at this time. Instead he simply ran a hand over his hair, stretching slightly as if a weight had dropped from his shoulders.

"Good." Morgan smiled some, shrugging off his coat and hanging it on the back of Maalech's door "And the air and the sun... You should be fine in damn near no time. Or close enough to it." he smiled a bit at the man, patting his shoulder, "...You think you'll be okay?"

"Just because I cannot retaliate there is no need to patronize me." The words were harsh, as were the look that he shot Morgan. But a moment later it was mitigated by a faint smile. "That came out worse than intended. I fear I will not deal well with recuperating. It is an added frustration to my earlier helplessness."
But he was quite adept at bottling things up for now.

"If I wanted to patronize you, Mal, I'd have put you in a barrow and wheeled you in." He smirked at the man, "Don't worry about it, though. I know I've been a real cantankerous bastard when I'm recovering from anything. And you've got a whole mess of 'anything'."
he unstoppered the flask at his hip and took a pull, holding it out to Maalech.

Maalech sighed and accepted the bottle, giving it a suspicious look before taking a drink.
The look on his face showed it all too clearly. He did not approve of that taste.
"Ah well, I suppose I should trust my designs. As long as I manage to stay alive long enough to adjust to whatever she is planning now. A question for another day." He rubbed his forehead a bit, he looked as tired as he felt, and his head hurt.

"Fuck, what she's planning..." Morgan shook his head, taking the bottle back and, with a shrug, took another swig. "Mal, I hope I never, ever find out."
It was a vain hope, but at least it was one. "Whatever it is, we'll try and calm her off it or."
Or.
Or do something neither of them wanted to do. Or die trying to do it.

Re: Maalech and Morgan goes back to the Wreaths - 6 Simivisonna
"Revenge, plain and simple. Revenge. Or perhaps she see it as justice. The only question would be how far-reaching it would be." Maalech looked around the small room, realizing that he would have to invest in some sort of simple bookshelf now. It felt oddly permanent to ponder furniture, but there were limits to what could be stacked simply.
"Come, let us go outside. It is not as hot during the evening, and I will admit to missing the sunsets. And the food." It was strange how this place had grown on him, most times and most places were easily replaceable, but at times he found somewhere like this. Somewhere he could relax, that was that peculiar mixture of home and elsewhere that did not grate on his nerves.
Or perhaps it was simply that this place would always remind him of her now.

"Revenge and justice, huh?" Morgan laughed a little, "Sounds like she's taking a page or two from my book." And at the man's suggestion, he smiled and shrugged, shoving another pile of books to one side.
"I could go for some sun." The man smirked and reached into his coat, Willing his flask refilled before replacing it beside the door, a part of him happy for the break from parenting. And feeling bad for being so happy to be away from it.
Probably made him a bad father. Oh, well.
