She shook her head. "I'm just glad they were talking in Common. It was months ago, Marcello. I told you everything I know." She added, tucking her hair behind her good ear.

Marcello nodded. "All right," he said. "Good neighbo-- err." He laughed, and scratched his chin. "Thank you. I'll talk to Niabheara. We'll keep our eye on Duncan. I think I have enough proof that he really did kidnap Acorn."

"You're welcome." She replied. "So you're going to lock him up, then? For stealing Acorn?" She asked, curious.

Marcello shrugged. "I'm not sure yet," he replied. "It's Niabheara's call, not mine. But I know it happened," he said. "I wagered on it."

She nodded. "Fine then. I hope she punishes him. He always seemed like a bit of an ass. And he shouldn't be Baron or whatever of Cabhon." She added. "I'm sure you agree."

"I...don't know what to think enough to agree or disagree," Marcello replied. "He can't be baron of Cabhon, though. He's tied to Brideslea now. If he inherited Cabhon, it would be our Dierdre's."

"Unless he divorces her." She replied, raising her brows at him. "Or claims the marriage wasn't valid. Then he's Baron. Although maybe he thinks he could rule through her. She only cares about those babies she's having." Barbara said, rolling her eyes. "Back when you were missing and Niabheara was nutty, I only had them and Moira for company. If I hadn't known Judith was coming, I don't know what I would have done."

"Oh, god," Marcello replied. "Babs, I am so, so sorry." He sighed. "What was she like then?"

"Dee, Moira, or Niabheara?" Barbara asked. "Dee was flightly and more interested in Duncan, Moira was well meaning, and Niabheara stayed in her room."

"DIerdre, of course," Marcello replied. "I just got the sense that the geis trapped her."
