Rumours moved fast through the castle and only the gods knew how many of them were reliable or how many were just people filling time.

Still, though, Seth was aware how close he was to just curling up in his room and magicking himself into obsession or madness again and the rumours centered around Davide and, maybe it was lingering magic or sadness or any number of other things but it seemed like it might be a fine idea to check in on the man.

He rapped on Davide's door a couple times, "Hello?" he asked the door, making sure that someone was actually there before he found himself standing there all morning.

Davide opened the door and smiled. "Morning. How good are you at wrapping bandages?" He asked. "I can't seem to manage it one handed."

"Bandages?" repeated Seth, confused, before tilting his head to one side, "That won't be a problem." He smiled a bit and stepped into the room, looking the man over for a moment, "What happened?"

"I punched Duncan and arrested him for stealing Acorn." He replied, and grabbed a pile of bandages from his chair, pushing up his sleeve to show where Duncan had grazed him with the knife. "Duncan wasn't pleased. The Countess put me on house arrest." He raised his brows. "That's all."

"Duncan st--" began Seth before cutting himself off and taking up the bandages, a scowl on his face, "I'd heard there was some trouble but. Gods..."

He took a moment to look at the wound before he began binding it up, "The wound isn't too terrible but." Seth muttered before looking to Davide, "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine." He said, reassuringly. "I was actually going to come by your room and speak to you, once I got settled. I'm glad you came. Just not glad of the circumstances, of course." He added, grinning.

"Good neighbour for the thought, all the same," replied Seth with a smile as he finished wrapping the wound, "Any reason in particular or just to check in? Not that I'd have complaint either way."

"Just to see you." He replied, squeezing Seth's hand as he finished the bandaging. "I would have come sooner but I heard you were nursing a hangover. Then I felt I should explain why I beat the shit out of Duncan to someone who would actually listen."

Seth squeezed Davide's hand in return and gave a little laugh, "I suppose I should be a shade more careful with my drink, then, if it's so well-known." He smiled a little before giving Davide a look.

"You punched a man who stole a child. Morgana's child. Good gods, I would have wanted to punch him, too." A scowl crossed the magician's face then, "Or worse."

He nodded. "I know. I did more than punch him but mostly I wanted to lock him up." He shook his head. "And it's not gossip about you. The woman in red... do you know her? She's the one who told me about Duncan. And that you were indisposed."
