The time talking with the Queen (and a small amount of wine) had put Seth in better spirits. Not made her happy, mind, but at least jarred her out of a habit of obsessing over ugly thoughts that she was sure was an Old Seth sort of thing to do. Or, at least, the person she was before she became Cnoch-na-Niall's.

But that was neither here nor there.

She stood in front of the door she was quite sure the sleepy castle had implied was where Davide was staying.

She would have control over herself. She would apologize and hope to the gods that when the enchantment was lifted off the beautiful youth that Davide would remember and forgive.

So she reached out and knocked a couple times to try.

Davide, however, was coming down the hall, with a napkin full of more food. He stopped as if he'd been struck, looking at Seth. He glanced over his shoulder, wondering if he could walk back without being noticed and sighed, realizing how rude that was. "Er. Mis..ter Seth." He said, uncertainly. "Good evening."

"Erm. Yes," she said with a slight blush, quietly cursing herself for being thrown off-guard by the youth being in the hall and not by the door. She took a step off to one side, moving out the way of the door on the chance that Davide just wanted to push on by.

"Good evening to you as well, Davide," she replied, bowing slightly before frowning a little at herself and attempting another curtsy. "I. Erm. I wanted to apologize again for. For my wildly improper and deceitful behaviour." She bit her lower lip a little and sighed, looking at the youth, "I can well imagine how... how strange this must be for you and. Um."

She rubbed her hands awkwardly as she tried to find the words before sighing, "Gods, I had this planned out so much better..."

Davide frowned. "Planned what out?" He said, warily, and looked at the door. "Your apology?" He looked as if he were trying to decide something. "I was the one who was an ass. You were only... honest." He glanced at the door. "Am I interrupting something?"

"Well. Yes," she answered with an uneasy smile, "I. I am not so great with such things that... Hm?" She turned back to the door with a moment. "Ah. No, no. I am only. I asked the castle where... where I might find you to apologize and it brought me here."

She smiled a little at the youth and chuckled, "And you were... you were not wrong. Gods, I know how I took it when I found out that a woman I was with had been ensorceled into being a woman. I was quite a wreck for a few days, I do not mind saying. Of course, she... he... hm. I did not know that when I..." she trailed off and then ran a hand down her face.

"Gods, Seth, shut up..."

Davide moved his back against the wall, watching Seth with a frown. "I think I live in the village. And you already apologized for flirting with me." He said, not unkindly. "You'd think you would have learned your lesson, if this happened to you before."

"Ah. Then I guess it is the castle putting me where I need to be..." she mused, reaching out a hand to touch the wall with a quiet smile, looking up at the wall for a moment before looking back to Davide with a small laugh, "You would think. And for a scholar, I am a frightfully slow learner." she smiled a bit and regarded the youth for a moment, "May I have your forgiveness, then, Davide?"

"You knew what you were. And you embarassed me." He replied, stepping slightly away from her, narrowing his eyes. "No." He said firmly. "I can't do this." He looked down at the floor, not meeting her eyes.

"I didn't mean t..." Seth let the word trail off and she nodded, letting out a low sigh, "No. No, that is fair. I should not have asked..."

She took a step away herself, reaching up to wipe at her eyes briefly. "Gods, so many things I should not have..." she stowed an urge to bolt again, though. "Is there no way I can apologize to you? I cannot imagine how I could make it up to you and..." she licked her lips carefully as she let out a breath through her nose, "And I would be your friend. If it were at all possible."

Something in Davide wavered. "You shouldn't have flirted with me if you were a man. You led me on, and you know how it feels." He replied, and then swallowed, clenching the bag he held. "Augh." He said in frustration, looking at the ceiling. "Stop looking so sad, please. You're breaking my... Please. It makes me feel awful to see you awful."
