"Soon as this is settled, I want you to give me a hand roundin' up our lot," she told Lang. "We are not takin' the blame for this. Romain, you get her to put those things on or I'm havin' her locked up for the duration."

Andre gave Spider a pained look. "Cherie?" he said helplessly. "Look, he shackles are better than a cell, aren't they?"

"And they're on one arm." Lang added, crossing her arms and sighing. "As long as I get a few minutes with the bard." She said, resigned.

Spider cut Judith the same look she had previously shot to Barbara: completely black, completely hate-filled. She shuffled out of the corner and let the marine click the other cuff above the first, then turn the key in both. She looked as if Andre had betrayed her.

"You'll have all the time you want," she told Barbara. "I don't plan on doin' with this lot any more than I have to." She looked very bored with Spider. "You can glare daggers at me all you want, girl. I don't know what's gotten into you."

Andre gave Spider a hurt look. "Look, you heard her, Spider. I'm not letting anyone put you in a prison cell. I don't like it any more than you do. What do we do, Judith?" he said, looking back at the woman. "To keep this from happening again?"

"She does that. Christ, Spider, we're trying to help. Or do you want to sleepwalk?" Lang replied. "And good neighbor, I'll take the time." She said, tiredly.

"I don't know. There's no pattern. Unless Spider saw whoever did the marine . . . no, the Marine was bein' brought up while Spider was goin' down." Judith scowled.

"Spider would have said if she'd seen. Wouldn't you have?" Andre asked. "I don't know what this could be," he admitted. "It's just...can we get everyone together? I want to make sure Elaine's all right."

Barbara yawned. "This does not make sense. Perhaps we will piece something together when we gather. I'll tell any of ours that we see to stick to someone else." She offered.
