As the Sintilla skimmed nearer, it also became plain that the ranks of tiny black squares on the man-of-war's sides were not decorative but were, in fact, open gun ports.

If that's the case we can tell them what's up and offer assistence. No harm, no foul. But first I'd rather not them blow Ceallaigh out of the water so we'll need to drop 'em down."
Judith considered the matter. "We're not firing at that one, no. Ready the guns just the same. I'm surprised we ain't seen our boy yet."
